Some photos from my archives lately that focus in on lovely details. My week in pictures posts will be back in action going forward—but for now, some bits and pieces from the last month or so...
Above is a little peek at our new mudroom floors. Sprucing up this space was a little bit of a last minute call. We were always planning to update the tiling, however we added on since they were already making tweaks (as you do!). Before, our sink was around normal counter height and then there was another counter a few inches higher to the left that sat above the washer and dryer. We got a slightly more compact washer and dryer that fit the space a little better so that we can just have 1 counter across. We have extra marble from kitchen slabs, so will be the same.
I am going to use it as laundry room (obviously) but also, since it sits next to "Grace's Garden" courtyard, it's going to be a garden room, too. A place to store my tools, seeds, etc. I am adding a cute little sconce to the wall and will hang a mirror for added light bouncing. It's going to be so charming!
Tod's woven bags that are popping up for ss24 are so beautiful. This little one reminded me of the same material and weave as my very favorite YSL 'Panier' (which I have had and worn countless times for 3 years now and looks new...). It's such a great everyday size for the essentials. Love!
Citrus trees bring me so much joy! I saw this beautiful orange tree on a walk and had to capture it. Nature truly blows my mind. We have a good collection of lemons, pink lemons, and bear limes in our garden and I think this year I need to add an orange.
Grace's room was the first complete space of the house. It's looking so lovely! I always dreamt about creating a magical space for my littles—and I can tell that she really loves it. The amount of times she says "I just wanna go home" each week while we are out and about, makes me so happy.
New duvet in for G and it's so precious. I linked all of her bedroom details here!
From our weekend in Calistoga / St. Helena recently—my favorite restaurant up there, The Charter Oak. Will never not order their homemade bread and cultured butter + crudités (however, I will say, as you might expect it's definitely better in the spring and summer when more things are in season!
Grace currently always requests "to go shopping". She loves sitting in the cart at the market and loves helping me pick out flowers—a longtime romanticized dream realized! Paper whites and ranunculus.
This view never gets old, nor does the afternoon light that cascades in!
Grace is in her accessories era. Cannot leave the house without her rainboots as of late — and loves bringing my woven basket to the farmer's market. I could eat her up with that little smile and top knot! Her boots are linked here.
I don't like to toot my own horn, but I sort of think I'm expert level at Etsy. Some of my very favorite finds have been uncovered and collected from there. I will elaborate soon on this and put a spotlight on these things. In the meantime, how cute is this custom knit for Grace?
In love with JamJar Edit's pressed flowers. I bought 4 to hang together — they are so incredibly beautiful.
And a lovely little scene I saw while walking to one of my wine clubs in Sonoma! It's a little B&B near the square.
