Lately 1.18.25

This entry usually only contains captures from the week of, however, it has been a while since we chatted life and personal happenings! With early pregnancy days, holidays, and catching up with all things life and work—took a moment to catch up.

Some favorite snaps and moments from this past month or so...

Clean home feels! The best. Someone asked me how we keep our home so clean and the answer is twofold. It's obviously not always this clean! However, I grew up with a mom who was very anal about keeping our house tidy... was honestly triggering when I was little and I absolutely hated it. But it shaped me to be a really clean person. I feel so much calmer, organized, and peaceful when my surroundings are in order. So it's something I, by nature now, stay on top of. I am good about cleaning up after myself and usually take little blocks on Thursday and Friday to get everything in a good state for the weekend so we can just relax.

Also!! I'm really excited to finally get around to diving more into the topic of our renovation and opening up our home to this community so much more this year. 2024 was exhausting and kicked my butt. Feeling inspired to capture/share/dive into my design process and how I dreamt up our home and garden. Posts to come on how went about executing the design, what I've sourced, lessons and learnings, and how I stay organized. Stay tuned.

I linked available pieces from each room of our home and garden here in case you are ever trying to track something down!

TJ's flowers have been great lately... they had a couple lack-lustre months but they are so back. Go in and treat yourself! I also stocked up on design and fashion magazines recently to peruse and put together a 2025 vision board. Will forever love paging through a magazine.

First signs of success on our little Valencia orange! My first time growing oranges, I can't wait to watch this one take shape. Something you should know about me is I have a major weakness for citrus trees. They are the cutest sight in a garden and bring so much joy (and obviously incredible to have all the citrus on hand whenever you need!). I have meyer lemons, pink lemons, bear limes, a kumquat, and this guy!

My sweet girl. Feeling so many emotions lately about how proud I am of the little girl that she is. Incredibly sweet, compassionate, wise, and so funny. I told Matt the other day that I wish I had a friend like G when I was little. Anyone who gets to call her a best friend in this life (hand is raised) is so so lucky.

Also have to note this PJ brand I'm now obsessed with called Sleepy Doe that I discovered on Spilled Milk. So precious! I went up a size and love how it is actually more relaxed and allows her quite a long time to grow into (and looks so cute). I have an edit of favorite finds for Grace here and here... and working on a favorite littles + baby find post too!

This walk is always such a gorgeous way to start the morning. Being in nature first thing really does set such a strong tone for the day. For both pregnancies I've had big ambitions on being super fit and working out lots... but the truth is, when you're in it... it can be so hard. You're so tried, feel much weaker (especially not being able to workout for months in the beginning when sick), but I'm trying my best. The beauty of this walk has been keeping me motivated...

I have however done a much better job focusing on healthy eating this time around. I've been back to loving meal prep and cooking again. A little farmers market haul recently. As a side note, and I'm sure a lot know this—I recently was reminded how much better it is to go shopping at your farmer's markets over grocers. Produce loses nutrients as time goes by. The more freshly harvested... the better and more beneficial. Plus, it's nice to support local, always!

'Lincoln Park After Dark' by OPI... it had been awhile. Always love to go for this hue once or twice over winter. This sweet lady sitting next to me told me she can only wear what she called "old lady pink" and I told her she could totally pull it off—"oh gals at bridge night would never approve!".

Well, I'm gonna be the old lady wearing it!

Happy color scheme on my coffee table right now. I linked all my favorite design books here recently, too!

Ads are actually getting me quite good these days. I went into a rabbit hole after seeing this hair oil continue to pop up and have been loving it. Taking advantage of the thick, fast growing hair side effect of pregnancy and really going to nurture it while it grows. Not cutting it again for a long time!!! Miss my long locks.

Not to be confused with TJ, this is the flower mart SF... a monthly "artist date" I treasure.

I stumbled upon Commas, a men's knit label, on Pinterest and fell in love with the details of this cardigan. It was on a sale so I grabbed a size small. Going to love wearing this as a grandpa sweater over silky slip dresses post preganancy! For now it's extra cozy for winter hibernation.

I get so many questions about our nightstands when I share snippets. I just changed out the hardware. I almost always change hardware on furniture and lampshades on lamps. I have very particular visions with home projects and like to really customize things to my full liking. I used to question this quality of mine but learned that it’s very much part of my human design wiring… to experiment and finetune things until they are just right in my eyes. Checks out!

I spotted a lookalike to my Toteme coat and wanted to share!

Spring-y florals all year long for me.

My daily treat: pregnant or not, for a decade now, Hu chocolate but teamed with a tea. I just have double the amount of chocolate I'd normally have. Let's be real. My favorite tea and my mug.

Getting out in nature everyday if I can.

Cute little Etsy find bringing me joy. P.S. Finally going to bring my idea "Expert at Etsy" series to my newsletter soon!

Just love our paint color so much. Have always been inspired by the late great Frances Elkins and her very cozy warm white and cream wall choices. This is Pointing by Farrow and Ball and it's in most rooms of our home.

From an escape to the city and some of my favorite things.

This year I'm majorly prioritizing staying connected with you all by way of my blog and newsletter (coming back in Feb!). I know I've spoken about this before, but over the years, it's become so second nature to quickly share something I'm excited about to an IG story frame. I'd really prefer I focus my time on content that is more thoughtfully brought to life and lives to see beyond 24 hours.

Not only for the sake of how I spend my time and keeping the art of the creative process alive and well (which is what started it all for me) but for a more meaningful way for you to connect with my work, too. I get less and less inspiration from IG and feel it draining me more than anything these days. That's just me personally and my experience. Plus, we all know by now that it is designed to distract and that it does! Distraction is the last thing I need right now. Especially with the season of life I'm in right now...

As someone who prefers to have more control of what I consume—I hope to consolidate everything I’m up to in these two places you can rely on to find what you’re looking for and to keep you updated on my latest inspirations. And you can make your way over / open posts when you decide!

I’m so grateful and happy to have you here, I appreciate this community so much. xx

P.S. All my fun finds as of late linked here!

  1. Ahh I absolutely love posts like this from you – it’s like a peak into your month! And I have been hoping you share more about the vision and execution of your kitchen reno so I can escape into design therapy!

    1. Thanks so much for reading and for your comment! Love seeing comments pop up on here as I know they are not as bustling these days. It means a lot! And yay to design to come… lots to cover xx

  2. Loving this style of post again! As a longer time reader and follower, it’s refreshing to see this content still exist. I recently deleted instagram from my phone (just have it on my iPad now) so also love that I can keep up with your content without being on IG 24/7.

    1. I love that! I think a lot of us are starting to slowly step away, create stronger boundaries, and be a lot more intentional with what we consume. I’ve always been drawn to early blog days-type content like this, too. Simple daily life inspiration is king in my book! So glad you enjoyed – and look forward to sharing so much more this year. Hope you have a beautiful evening! Thanks for reading!
