Last week, we arrived at Kenwood Inn & Spa and felt as if we instantly transported to Europe. I knew from photos that this place was going to be magic, but it really outdid itself in my eyes. The ivy-covered property, turquoise-tinged shutters, quirky palms popping up throughout, and Mediterranean hideaway vibes– so much to love.
After five months of closure due to the Sonoma County wildfires, Kenwood Inn & Spa now features refreshed guest rooms and suites, an updated lobby, and new wine bar and cabanas. They did such a wonderful job, every inch of the property is so cozy and beautiful.
After we settled into our room, we went down to the pool for their magic hour wine and cheese pairing. That moment is when Matt and I agreed we didn’t feel like we were in wine country, but somewhere much farther away from home! It was so serene and calming– such a good weekend spot for a little romantic escape.
After cheese and wine, we headed a minute down the road to Salt & Stone for dinner. It was such a cute spot, and new to the area! I heard they had amazing cocktails (we shared the white sangria and lavender and honey cocktail), and we can confirm, they were fantastic. The name Salt & Stone was inspired by their main dishes, fish (salt) and meat (stone). The restaurant sits on a big piece of land with lots of beautiful views while you dine–vineyard views, a little pond, and a twinkle light lit bocce ball court. Highly recommend a visit next time you’re up there!
We can’t wait to go back in the future, it was such a special place. I will let the photos do the rest of the talking…
