5 Spring Weekend Outfits

Edit

Apr 6

As I’m prepping for fun happenings this weekend and next — well-rounded plans from wine country escapes to backyard dinners — I decided to put this together. Casual elevated — that is the theme here! And really my approach with getting dressed.

Outfits I am leaning into with warm days en route…

Low-key ladies night

Whether it’s a night of Mahjong and wine (do I need to get into this? Everyone around me is slowly caving) or a fun dinner on a patio, this is a look I am loving for a casual night.

I love my Toteme twisted seam jeansjust got them in the white. Paired with a top like this (I have this in ecru and white, it’s so beautiful), ballet flats (or simple sandals), a bag that can carry some wine/cards or a board game, a simple necklace, a fun pair of earrings, and a hair clip.

*This bag just launched on Savette and it’s very good! Fits a laptop — and also comes in black. I have been singing the praises of Savette for years now and I stand by that they are going to continue to impress and expand. Most beautiful quality and details—and I love when a designer is distinct.

Breakfast in the garden

I romanticize a lot of rituals in my life, but it’s hard to top spring and summer weekend mornings! I love picking up coffees and delicious pastries from a favorite bakery for a casual brunch out back.

I have been living in my cotton eyelet pants. I recently discovered DeMeric—I love their silk pieces, this pattern caught my eye and would be so cute with a white tank (or the t shirt version is a go to as well) and a knit hung on your shoulders in case. If it’s especially hot, a one-piece under the pants could be a fun and wise move! A pair of jelly flip flops, hair swept up in a claw clip… and not much else.

Family get-together at our friend’s home

I’ve had this persistent ping to secure an elevated halter top. I discovered a new to me label who created such a cool take and I got it. It’s so unique! I’m also into something more simple like this or this — cut and vibe are perfect. Would be truly ideal on hot days to come!

I imagine wearing with Levi’s, mesh ballet flat, and simple accessories—Wayfares, vintage watch, and my everyday treasured ring (saved this similar option recently).

Toteme’s new raffia bag is so good! It comes in black, too. I would definitely be wearing one of my raffia bags with the look. A great raffia option below too.

Weekend errand run

I’ve been wearing something like this the last weeks with the cooler mornings. A pair of jeans (saved my latest top favorite denim styles here), a high-neck tank, light jacket (love this so much, one more option), simple sandals, and a tote (love that brown and also enjoy this green). I’ve been wearing these sunglasses for over 10 years, they never get old. I have this ring set in my cart, I feel like it would add a perfect amount of interest and sparkle to this outfit.

A date night escape to Sonoma

I have to note this dress simply because I saw it in a runway photo and gasped. The details are so lovely — an investment, but pieces like this can be worn on countless occasions and casually, too. I found a similar Matteau style on major sale! Another gorgeous option on sale (and one more similar for even less). Also, I have this by Matteau and it’s stunning, perfect for romantic evenings.

Layer with a light suede jacket, clutch, and I usually like to include one more casual-leaning piece, like the sandals, to ground a bit (while in wine country).

As for finishing touches—a chic pair of sunglasses (just discovered this brand as they sent me a note, so chic! Similar vibe here – my friend has and loves) and a chunky ring set or cuff. A favorite lip oil (in powder pink) that’s always in my bag and my new favorite perfume.

Last thoughts for you today

I loved listening to “The Power of Rituals” on the Goop podcast. It has inspired me to create a new ritual or two this spring. It’s a lovely listen in case you have some downtime to enjoy over a drive or coffee in the garden.

I created a new section on Shopmy called “my closet” — to continue to add the pieces I am wearing the most this season.

I learned that the word inspiration means “to breathe life into” and I love that so much! Been chasing that feeling my whole life. I hope this space brings you doses of inspiration.

Have a beautiful day!
