We’re in the no man’s land between seasons and I think we are collectively starting to reach winter max capacity.
Like clockwork every year around this time I get into such a slump. I would do anything for consistent vitamin D, like now! It’s amazing how much of a different creature I am under the sun. Patience is a virtue. I always try and keep positive and treat myself really well though in these weeks leading up to spring, and so I wanted to share some things that have been helping to zen me out lately. Think of these last few weeks as a time to reset, treat yourself, and relish in slower, cozy weekends bundled at home. We will be out and about and enjoying our shifts in lifestyle soon enough!
I swear by these things below…
1
Pursoma ‘Resurrection’ Bath + Detoxifying Treatment
This stuff is a spa date in a pouch (the entire pouch is made for 1 bath). You pour in the smaller contents inside the pouch and mix it all in your bath, and then add the remaining clay powder. Made from pure, raw, vegan ingredients this revitalizing and deeply stimulating bath treatment helps to unburden the body from toxins such as environmental irritants, overindulgence, and technological pollution. After everything is mixed in the water, I soak for 15-20 minutes and then throw on my robe and go sit under my blankets on my bed for 10-15 or so (you’re supposed to be super warm after) and drink lots of water throughout! It’s amazing and you feel the difference right away.
2
Osmia Body Oil
This stuff smells incredible and feels so good on your skin after a nice long bath. “Made with powerful, organic essential oils of lavender and roman chamomile, and a beautiful, wild atlas cedar oil, Night Body Oil is incredible for use at bedtime. When combined with a stable evening pattern, such as a bath, a book, and a candle, this oil can help establish a peaceful sleep routine.” Yes, please.
3
Ice Roller
This one is all over the web right now, for good reason! I use this a couple of times a week and it always feels like such a treat to my skin. Especially if I take a bath and give myself a facial before hopping out. (Can you tell I am a bubble bath aficionado?) I will take 2 minutes or so to use this on my skin before applying moisturizer and it works wonders. It helps reduce puffiness, shrinks pores, and tightens your skin.
4
Tata Harper Stress Oil
This was a party gift from an event I went to a long time ago and it has become a favorite bedside companion. It’s one of those products that just smell like the spa and instantly evokes relaxation. I apply a bit to my palms when I hop into bed, rub my palms together and inhale deeply. Out like a light.
5
Lord Jones CBD Lotion
Okay, I was a little unsure about the whole CBD craze at first, but after hearing so man good things about Lord Jones I decided to give it a try. And wow, I love it. This stuff has helped so much whenever I have achy muscles or simply need a natural relaxing/sleep aid. Applying a little on my neck and shoulders before bed has been a game changer (because working from home without a proper desk/laptop hunching). Even Matt is a big fan now, too! We have both the roll on oil and the lotion and love them… highest recommendation from me!
6
Slip Silk Eye Mask
I have mentioned this before, but I have never been a sleep mask girl until I met this one! It’s incredibly soft, isn’t tight, and honestly helps me to truly relax and fall asleep. An absolute essential on planes now, too. I just bought their pillowcase (from the Shopbop sale!) and am so excited to try it out this week.
7
Cire Trudon Candle
Another product you’ve heard me preach. This scent is like basil, lemon, mint, and wonderfulness. At first, I had it in our kitchen since it smells so fresh but I moved it to my nightstand to take some photos and realized that night how much I loved it there. Even unlit I can smell it and it just reminds me of being at the spa.
Basically, the end of winter to me = pretending like I am at the spa and ignoring this gloomy weather until further notice (sun).
