Lately, my body has been the furthest thing from a temple – such a busy couple of weeks, but thank goodness things are finally slowing down. I think it’s a combination of the new puppy and feeling a little spread thin with work lately (and lack of sleep), but this is why I’m here – to get myself back on track for the coming months and into a good routine to stay healthy through F/W. (side note: I would love to know what works for you! Let me know in the comments below!)
Find a Workout you Love
_______
The most obvious, but most important – getting into a good groove with your workouts. I mean, easier said than done when it’s freezing out and all you want to do before and after work is dive into piles of blankets to keep warm. If you’re a runner or outdoors active, the weather shift changes the game for you. I’m lucky in that my favorite workout (Pilates ProWorks) is indoors and can attend all year long. For fall, find a class you love to do that you won’t get bored of. I love Pilates ProWorks because every class is different, and no matter what I always walk out feeling so happy I went. I love how time flies by in the 50-minute class, and how it’s a hardcore total-body. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it!
Breakfast, always
_______
I always have to remind myself that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. My favorite go-to, healthy meal is egg whites, avocado (sprinkled with pepper), and Pepper Plant house sauce (so good and speeds up your metabolism – we discovered this stuff in Carmel). Side note: Breakfast of choice recommendations WELCOME!
Cooking at Home
_______
Last year, there was a solid couple of months where I realized I hadn’t planned a dinner date or lunch date in ages. It’s pretty normal to want to hibernate come cooler climes, which can be a great thing for your health (and bank)! Start bookmarking fall recipes, but keep in mind clean ingredients. There are healthy and delicious versions of chicken pot pie, etc. to enjoy and still be kind to your insides.
Read
_______
Since we are a little more cooped up this time of year, I always try and read more than I usually do. Great for your mind and soul to take time out of your day to relax and get lost in a good book. I tend to go stir crazy sometimes, so this always feels like a little escape for me, and some authors really inspire me to head back to my laptop to write a beautiful post. Book recs also welcome, I want to start adding on to my list!
Moderation
_______
It easy to go overboard on Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas with the carbs and sugar. While we’re on the right track (tea, pilates, read, repeat), keep this good streak in mind and give yourself treats here and there, but don’t over indulge. In the past, I tend to let my layers handle the weight gain, but spring will be right around the corner, and you’ll thank yourself. 🙂
What are your healthy habits you try and take in to fall? Would love to know!

Sometimes I just need this little reminder. 🙂 This combination works wonders. PS. Hi, friend! Lovely to hear from you – hope all is well and you’re ready for a fun, relaxing weekend! x
Love these tips. Bookmarked for a reminder just in case 🙂
Thank you, Allyson! I hope you have a great weekend xx
Love this! I always put on a layer of treats induced insulation over autumn so this is going to come in so useful
